THE SHORT STORY
If the sex education taught in schools is teaching our youth to be silent and uninformed about sex, we are teaching non-consensuality to our youth.
#FUNDCONSENT aims to raise money to teach consent-based sex education workshops to teenaged youth, with no cost to their hosting school or organization. My initial $5,000 goal will fund a semester-long series of consent-based sex education workshops at Lighthouse Holyoke, a newly-established, self-directed learning center for teens in Holyoke, Massachusetts. If more money than the goal is raised, consent-based sex education workshops will be offered to other interested, local high schools and youth organizations which will be tailor-made to their specific, sex educational needs.
