now hiring a clinical therapist
clinical therapist: job description
Start Date: Fall 2025 / Flexible
Job Type: Part-time, W2
Application Deadline: N/A, rolling
A clinical therapist working with Yana Tallon-Hicks, LLC provides clinical individual, couples, and relationship therapy to adults that is designed to meet the specific mental and emotional health needs of the identified client/s. Clinical therapists provide but are not limited to providing psychoeducational activities and interventions created to assist the client in the reduction of mental health related symptoms and to improve overall wellness and functioning.
Many of the clients who come to work with Yana Tallon-Hicks, LLC are dealing with clinical issues related to sex, sexuality, sexual trauma, sexual abuse, romantic relationships, psychosexual concerns, subcultural issues regarding kink dynamics, non-monogamy, infidelity, and sexual practices often considered to be “non-traditional”. Because of this, it is imperative that the clinical therapist in this role is adequately trained in providing accurate, knowledgeable, appropriate, well-boundaried, and non-judgmental support and information to clients who are dealing with these issues in their very personal lives.
The clinical therapist in this role must have demonstrated experience working in the arenas of sex therapy and with clients across the LGBTQQ+ spectrum of identity. It is strongly preferable that the clinical therapist also has experience working with non-monogamous relationship structures and is kink-knowledgable. Additional training and tools for working with non-monogamous relationships and individuals can be provided. Additional training and tools for how to run Relationship Intensives will also be provided and required.
Services are provided with client-centered, systemic approaches and are delivered through appropriate, time-limited, goal specific interventions with a stance that assumes that the client is the expert on their own lives.
